Our twins are getting ready to leave!!
On June 23rd we received a little boy, 7 months old, straight from the hospital with suspected abuse. 2 days later we received his twin sister, because we wanted them to be together! It was the right thing to do and in Daryl and I's heart we knew we needed to do it, they needed each other! It was a busy and at times trying summer and now fall. It was deceided that moving them to a spanish speaking home was going to be the best thing for them. We will miss them terribly but know this is part of God's plan for them. My Kooper will not know what to do with himself, however, it has been hard on him. They came in and took over, and I don't think he truly knew the extent of what was going on at the time but now he is starting to figure it out and is not too keen of it! I think a break from older babies is what we need to do at this point. We will continue fostering, no doubt, but only newborns for now! Until next time.......

"Fireproof"-Highly recommended movie!!!
Daryl and I went to see the movie called "Fireproof", written and produced by christians. Kirk Cameron from the old sitcom "Family Ties" and other shows and movies, stars in it! First of all, I think it should be a requirement for any engaged couple. Second, if you have not seen it,whether you have been married for 1 year or 100 years or not even married yet, it is sooooo worth it!! Ashley and David had gone to see it and they have been married almost 2 years and they walked away totally refreshed and you can't help but be convicted. Let's face it, everyone has issues with their marriages or for that matter with serious relationships with that special one! God's view of marriage and relationships is without a doubt the route you want to go! Daryl and I, after being married for 21 years, saw things in this movie that we have always known, but completely lost sight of! I have seen things in our relationship happen in the last week that I have not seen in a very long time between him and I! In return, we have both been extremely blessed. The timing for seeing this movie for us was great, celebrating our anniversary and all! I don't know how much longer it will be in the theaters, but don't contemplate it any longer, just go see it, I am telling you, you will not regret it. Start the holiday season with a renewed look at God's perspective of marriage! I promise it will do a number on you, a really great number, I PROMISE!!!! If it doesn't, than you saw the wrong movie!! Let me know what you think!!

October 17,1987

I, 17 years old, Daryl, 20 years old, united in marriage in a small church in Sugar Land, Tx. Officiated by my brother with lots of friends and family as witnesses. The memory is still so vivid! I remember leaving the reception asking myself,"Did that really just happen?" "Am I really married?" Daryl and I left in a thunderbird he brought home from work and of we went to the Quality Inn on the southwest freeway, a whole 15 minutes away! We got up the next morning and we went to eat breakfast at Champs and then went to see a movie, that was our honeymoon!! To most people, not too exciting, to us, it was awesome!! We actually could not wait to get back to pick up Ashley, who was 13 months old at the time, and get to our very own 2 bedroom apartment and start our life together as a family, FINALLY. That was a very big deal to both of us!!! This friday, Daryl and I will celebrate our 21st wedding anniversary!! We met when I was 14 and he was 17. We have known each other more than half of our lives!! It is a great feeling to be able to say 21 years later, there is no other person on this earth I would rather have spent the last 21 plus years with than Daryl, futhermore, there is no other person I would rather spend the next however many years with than with Daryl!!! Happy Anniversary Daryl!! While I am at it,I want you to know, I LOVE MY FAMILY!! Just in case you were wondering!!!

To spend an entire week with your grandson is like no other!!
Ashley and Noah left on Saturday and by the time I got home from the airport, I missed them both terribly! The week was awesome but went by way too fast. We did alot away from home but we were also able to spend time just chillin out together at the house. Noah is pretty entertaining all by himself. He has this happy squeal of a scream that will keep you on your toes. He loves to play, not too much by himself but he loves to play. He is a very funny baby. David was soo happy to see Ash and Noah, he missed them alot. They are now spending their week packing and moving into a different home, so they have their work cut out for them. Moving stinks when you don't have a little one but they are in for a crazy week and weekend! I just wish I lived closer so I could help!! Well, that's it for now!! Here is a cute pic after taking a bath in Mimi's sink!! I pretty much had to get the wet vac out after we finished!! I love it!!

Ashley and Noah come in three days!!!!!!

I am so excited about spending a whole week with Ashley and Noah!! I am sad though that David has to stay behind and go to school and work, it will be different without him here. Ashley has never been here without him!! He will be missed! But thank you David for letting us have your 2 pride and joys!!! We have all kinds of stuff planned, one being to get Noah's 6 months pictures taken, my mom is having a brunch for all her friends to meet Noah, we may go spend a day with Kyl in Blinn, and some other stuff like go eat with the kids at school, shopping, go eat with "Captain" and whatever else we can fit in!! I am trying to arrange a trip to San Angelo in Novemeber by myself so that I don't have to wait all the way until Christmas to see Noah! And then they will all be here for Noah's first Christmas!! I can not beleive he will already be 9 months old by then!! Well, that's it for now! Oh, have mentioned that i love my Noah and mean my family??!!! HAHAHA!
